My artistic tendencies showed up at age forty, when I felt the urge to grab a brush and put it to canvas to capture the images that flashed through my mind. Ten years later, I took an art course at Seneca College, to learn the fundamentals of art and improve my photography skills. I began to participate in art groups and show my art and photographs.

I don’t consider myself a ‘professional’ artist. I am constantly learning, but most of all consider painting as a healing and spiritual experience.

I don’t obsess about technique. Its more like recalling of past life experiences, challenging myself as a human, or simply following the hand. The freehand drawings usually come to me in unexpected moments as a symbol, capturing a person’s character, the soul of man, his spirit, or depicting the uncommon in random routine.
